The $4.00 MilkShake

What a great day for a walk! I decided to load up the wagon and head down to the Stirling Public Library! Christopher is still to little to sit up so I just prop him up in the centre of the wagon a fluffy pillow and let his head rest on Sophia leg. Its actually really cute looking. SO off we go! we get to the library and play with some puppets, read some book! Whoops, Sophia gets a dirty diaper. Its an old old old library and the only bathroom is up these creaky stairs.! BUT they actually have one of those fancy change stations in the handy cap stall! I am quickly thinking of the logistics of it all. I can't leave Christopher alone - I wont set him up on the floor, SO I balance him on the end of the fold out change table and quickly (ninja like) change Sophia. phew! I then notice Sophia has punk ed the Elmo doll from the kids library area. She dropped it behind the toilet.. bleh!

OK so we trek back down the stairs and finish up in the Library. I load up the wagon and we head down to West Wings for a treat! Did you know for a itty bitty vanilla milk shake its FOUR DOLLARS! So I don't consider myself a real frugal person but four bucks???? I ended up just getting one for Sophia! Meh Ill know better next time. Christopher was so excited he zonked out on the way home.

Christopher is growing and every day its something new! A couple weeks ago we started solid foods and so far its been a lot of fun! He loves Banana, Avocado, apple sauce, and spaghetti! OH and cheerios. He weights about 20 lbs right now and is about 30 inches long. wheeeeeeeeee.
October looks to be crazy month with swimming lessons and gymnastics. Plus I may start a Zumba class on Friday nights!

If someone else tell me.....

that I must be busy I am seriously going to S.N.A.P. Ya thanks! I look like I haven't showered in days, my clothes fit horribly to big to small to short to long. I am running non stop but still can't seem to lose the 80 lbs that Christopher put on me! Ya so lady at Family Space please don't remind me about being busy! What gave it away the giant bags under my eyes because my son doesn't sleep! EVER! Oh wait he naps. For about 15 minutes at a time. Oh I should let him cry? No thanks, Grandma, Dad or AUnt or some random person that feels entitled to offer their opinion. NONE OF YOU HAVE OFFERED TO HELP ME! SO leave me/us alone.

Rant over!

5 Months and getting B.I.G.

Wee little man in now a whopping 18lbs 6 oz. He is such a big boy. He is growing out of his clothes at lightning speed. I am currently wearing 12 month stuff and just over 5 months old.
This month we bought one of those jolly jumpers with the frame. HE LOVES IT! He will bounce for over an hour. Gives Mommy time to breath- Or chase Sophia. Also this month he has become so much more alert to his surroundings. Wants to sit up on his own (still a wee bit wobbly) He also reaches and grabs at his toys. Loves anything with lights and sounds. We can play for hours on the floor. I just can't get enough of him.

Sophia is moving in the terrible two direction. Every day is something new! Today she wanted an "ORANGE FREEZES" for breakfast, I said no not now! She instantly through her whole body on the ground and throw the biggest fit I have ever seen. She also loves car rides. I wish Chrishoper did. He is getting better but still sometimes it can be a unpleasant experience. Think of nails on a chalk board. :)

Sophia also has quite the vocabulary - Freely singing songs from start to finish and reading books to herself.
Heres a pic of all three of us cuddles up on the couch. <3

What a summer we have been having. Last Wednesday we broke some wicked records for heat. At one point during the day ot was over 40 degree. BLEH!!!!!!! Me and the kiddos stayed inside. Even the dogs wouldn't move to far from the a/c. JAson spent most of the morning and afternoon at the Library in Trenton so we just hung out playing with puzzles and reading. This years Waterfront festival I entered Parker into the 1000 islands Dock Dock diving contest! It was so much fun and he loved it. So proud of my boy.

These past few weeks have been a lot of fun with Christopher, or as Sophia will call him "Kwiss" so adorable. He is trying to sit up and loves to reach for his brightly coloured toys. He is weighing in around 16.5 lbs (according to the Wii)
Sophia vocobulary simply amazes me. She know exactly what she wants. For instance she loves to read and will tell you what books she wants. He fav right now "Mama where are you" and in her words. " Mama wa ah chew" I ask her what she wants for breakfast and she says "eggos" ALso brushing her teeth with her toddler toothpaste is a hit! "bushe teesth" LOL.

Happy 2nd Birthday Sophia.

For Sophia's 2nd birthday we really didn't do to much! It was a Monday and we went to Costco with the Fykes. That night Becky and Jarod came over for cake and snacks. Same as last year she was SPOILED! Lots of cash from Grandparent and 4 pair of shoes. (lucky) Sophia officially has more shoes then Jason and myself combined. LOL.
Becky bought her the cutest purple and white Puma running shoes. I had just finished up a Cake Decoration class through Michael's. It was alot of fun. I thought this year I would be a good Mom and make her birthday cake. TA DA it didn't turn out to badly.
Happy Birthday to my sweat sweat little one.

Haley's grade 8 grad!

Tonight was my Cousin Haley’s Grade Graduation. She looked beautiful from head to toe! I would like to add that I picked out her shoes.  Things have changes since my grade 8 graduation 18 years ago! (WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!)
The kids YEP kids (age ~ 13) are dressed up and polished like they are modeling for a fashion magazine. Everything matters like god forbid you have the same dress as someone else.. sheeesh. Haley and I have always been close. I have watched her grow from the second she was born babysitting, weekends at the lake. Haley was even the flower girl in our wedding. These days we spend Tuesday evening together in a cake decorating class. Tonight I had a little tear when an old song came on the radio. It was a song she knew the words to when she was only five. I used to laugh when we listened to it because she sounded so adorable. Well it came on the radio tonight while she was getting ready and we both remembered it.
