Strawberry Picking

Christophers favourite item in his school lunch is a jam sandwich. But not any jam sandwich his moms strawberry jam on his sandwich. On Sunday we made our way to Bramble Berry Farms and picked enough berries to make two batches of jam.

We made a challenge between the kids. We knew that would keep them motivated especially Christopher who loves to be a winner. The tactic worked for a short while and Christopher and Charlotte worked against each other to pick the nicest berries. Sophia on the other hand a.k.a. our little director stood back and made sure her siblings were following directions. She's more of a tell you what to do type of person versus hard work type of person. I suppose the world needs leaders to :-)

The next day we cleaner berries and prepared the jam. We included Christopher in this task so he could see from start to finish how it all comes together. He is such a good helper around the house and loves to learn new things.

S'mores

Who waits to go camping to make s'mores. Not this family. We sparked up our outdoor fire pit and cracked open a s'mores kit. Or as Charlotte says 'snores'

Lol

It has taken me 10 years to actually appreciate the home that we have.  A newer bigger house would always be nicer, but right now I love where we live.

It was a beautiful evening here in Stirling. Slight breeze kept the mosquitoes away. Jason and I enjoyed our keto drinks while the kids indulged in to many sweets.

We sat and chatted, the kids were getting along. It was a beautiful night.  Even Parker sat quietly at my feet watching the fire.

Oak Lake

We are so fortunate to live close to this small beach located in the Oak Hills. It's tiny and clean, but plenty of room for my little team to safely swim and play with other kids.

This day we were meeting up with our good friends Rachel and Ashleigh and their beautiful children.

The weather couldn't have been nicer. The kids all played together and I was able to chat with some like minded moms who also are moms to three kids.

We ended our afternoon with a plate of poutine and French fries split three ways.
