Apple Picking

Today we made our way out to an orchard West of Brighton for a little Apple picking. It's still very early in the season so the variety was limited. I've been dying to get my freezer stocked with apple crisp for the winter. Lindsay, Andrew, and Ryan joined us. Sophia and Andrew were big helps in the orchard. We picked all we needed in about 6 minutes flat!! We then made our way back to the entrance where they had some swings, sandbox, and giant pile of hay bales for the kids to climb up on. The air was so nice and cool but the sun was still shining. The perfect day, really! After we came home and Christopher went down for his nap, Sophia, Jason and I got to work making many, many apple crisps. Lots of work but lots of fun and memories made.

Love hearing my wee man figure out new words. His fav by far is Pool!!! All I need to do us mention going in the pool and I have him on repeat saying "pool" pool pool pool. Another great one is Hot. But everything he isn't supposed to touch is " hot". Here's a photo of my three at Grandpa Thompsons house.

Work from home

So about a month ago I was offered a sweet gig! Same job, more money, and work from home capabilities. Dream. Come . True. At first I had to come up with a balance. So far though it's been great!!! I can't believe
how much more productive I've been. Meeting lots of new people and traveling all over. Best part is of course my family gets to tag along :). Today jason took Christopher for some man time while Sophia curled up next to me in the bedroom while I pounded away on my notebook. Here she is waking up and confused on where she is. Love her do much.

Happy

I have the happiest little man ( mostly) unless its around 4:30 pm. Then it's a shit show. Before this time of day though he is pure smiles. I caught him trying to say his name the other day. A long ssssssssssss. I love watching him point and discover our world.
We went blueberry and raspberry picking with both kidlets. What a great time. The kids loved it especially Sophia . Such a big help. Now we have almost enough berries for the winter.

Splash Pad 2012

Today was the second time this year we visited the Frankford Splash Pad! Sophia always enjoyed going but not like Christopher. He actually started to kick and squeal when we pulled into the parking lot. He loves to Judy play independently and splash water in his face. He could care less if anyone else is around. We ended the Sunday with my famous lasagna and some good quality family dance time. Both kids love to anything and everything.

On another update : it was with great sadness that we said Goodbye to Jason's Grandmother, Rose Ross last weekend she was 95 and had taken a fall and could not recover. She will be sadly missed by us all. :(

Mothers Day 2012

I would like to thank Jason for making me blat at work yesterday. He sent me a sneak peak of my first homemade mothers day gift from Sophia , melted my heart into a trillion pieces and I will cherish it forever.

Growing up.

Beginning of April came so fast. Back to work I went at RBC while Jason stays home and looks after the sweet little peas. I get random texts throughout the day and am updated on what they are doing and how they miss me. :). Bittersweet really, love my job and love how I can escape the madness for a few short hour then come home to screams of happiness after a day full of playing with Daddy. Supper is usually on the table which is also a sweet ass perk.

A couple weeks ago we headed out for dinner with one of our besties Mike and his new girlfriend Christie. We ended up going to Tomasoes for the perfect dinner as usual.
Recently Sophia graduated to the next level of swimming and no longer needs me in the water with her :( she is doing fantastic and excelling. I've been pretty relaxed with Christopher and swimming lessons and hope to be more involved in the fall.
I'm so excited about tomorrow . It's pretty much my most fav time of year!! Gardening. Woot woot. Me and my Grandpa are hitting up some fancy nurseries in the morning. V:)
